It's pretty hard to compare the two bikes. The Griso demands your complete attention, steering is quick, not as quick as a real sport bike but quicker than everything else I have ridden lately (K1200 GT). The CB feels a little jittery might be the tires or the amount of trail. Or maybe just me. Power delivery on the Griso? Think Mike Tyson, brutal. Power delivery on the CB? Think Alexis Arguello, silky smooth. I only did about 75 miles on the CB but I really enjoy the smoothness and comfort. The Griso can be a handful. It's a little spastic around town. Consequently I avoid riding it in town. The Honda is really well behaved, which could lead to some riding in town, a dangerous proposition in Arizona. The Honda has ABS, The Griso has giant Brembo's, they both stop pretty well. Comfort wise the Honda fits me'setter for longer rides. The Griso has a long wide reach to the bars which I find uncomfortable after a few hours. The Griso is all black and matte gray, pretty menacing, it's actually takes it's name from a thug in an Italian novel. The CB is all chrome and ruby red paint. It kind of reminds me of Honda's adage from the 1960's, " you meet the nicest people on a Honda."

I have the green 2012 SE Griso and from what I hear there are slight differences (more than slight when comparing the 2009 model).
Brakes; I find the CB's are much better. Griso is no slouch though. Handling; CB is better in town and in the tight twisties. Griso, better on the open road and long sweepers. CB has not felt jittery to me. I had DTR in town adjust the suspension on the Griso after riding Chris's GRiso and how much better it felt. Best $30 I've every spent on a bike. Power delivery; GG, not sure if you have remapped yours, mine is a bit better down low but still have to feather the clutch at slow speeds as she is snatchy. I'm told this is more of a product of the V twin compared to the much smoother inline 4. I don't care for the Griso in town. Especially in the summer as the heat from the jugs becomes unbearable. Pouring on the coals, the Honda lets you know you are working it. The Griso, especially on roll on's at speed, leaps forward with little effort. Comfort, stock seats; the Griso was terrible for ME. Russell Day Long solved that issue. LAMM seat solved minor issues with the CB. Not as good as the RDL so at some point I may upgrade it. For long trips I still prefer the Griso. The Russell Day Long seat as well as the power pulses of the big V twin are nice. But I get better mileage with the CB. Once retired I can explore the two a bit more. GG, I installed ROX bar extenders to bring the bars back a bit (and up) Recommended. I have always preferred wide bars. ![]() I also installed the Stelvio hand guards to take the wind off. This winter I added the Bikemaster heated grips. Oddly enough I like them more for the grip material and design than the heating elements. Thicker too. I think I'll add them to the Honda. Only $60 too!!!!

Thanks for your useful analysis. Enjoy your bikes!

When I bought the CB I was fully prepared to sell the Griso thinking it would be surplus. Not so. Such a different feeling machine. Not unlike comparing a big ol' P-47 Thunderbolt vs. a P-51 Mustang.
Both are good at what they do, both sound good at full song (radials are kinda special though, V12's sound faster). Nice to have access to both.

Totally agree, don't sell bikes, just add to the Stable!!!
