Went down to a local Honda Kawasaki shop I worked at for 7 years and ordered up some standard maintenance items for the CB and my ST.

I ordered air cleaners for both bikes, brake pads for all 4 wheels, 1/2 dozen oil filters, 4 spark plugs for the CB, 2 gallons of GN4 engine oil, a bottle of Hypoid gear oil for the ST's rear end, 2 muffler bands for the ST, a can of chain lube for the CB, and a Motion Pro spark plug wrench as recommended by another forum member for the CB.

Figured I would spend about $400, but the total bill came to $730.00 plus $34 tax.

YEE GADS!

Hope I don't need any tires soon!

Glad I ride motorcycles for the economy. ROFL

Should have bought my tuneup package, would have saved yourself 100 bucks.

My wife opened our CC bill today, 1800 miles @ 146.00 in gas last month. My wife car bill was 125.00 she said i though motorcycles where good on gasSmile

What is the part number for that? The spark plugs sure are small in diameter!

Ouch! Besides oil changes, I don't do much else. Everything gets so expensive with motorcycles these days, that justifying a bike as a cheap, and economical alternative to cars is getting hard to sell. It's truly becoming something for the enthusiasts rather than the practical and thrifty person, as it used to be.

Ouch! Glad you can do the work yourself or it would be double that.

The CB spark plugs are crazy expensive on the 'net. I'll bet they're insanely expensive at the dealer. I quit buying filters at my dealer since they started charging $20 a pop for an oil filter. That's also why I went with the reusable K&N air filter. All those little bits and pieces add up quite quickly Sad Especially when you're maintaining more than one bike.

Amazon.com has a good selection of 14mm thinwall sockets.
