Anyone taking a 4 th of July ride?

I'll get in a short ride to the Guzzi breakfast tomorrow, too darn muggy and hot for me now. Went out for a ride this am - took my air conditioned F150. Big Grin

Those of you who remember my buddy Lee who came to the rally with, on his over 100k mile RC51, says hi and looking forward to next year! He and I are hitting it early (7:30) this morning to get in a couple hundred miles of central Floridas finest. It's perfect out right now, coolish and non-humid. We'll ride till lunch then head home. It is going to get hot and sticky today, the worst part of which is stop lights. As long as we're moving its not bad at all. You guys get out on two wheels if you can, even if just a quick jaunt! Later!

Great ride, a lurker who had joined CFCR decided to come out of the darkness into the light today. Ken, a Brit on a ZRX. Turned out to be a good rider too. Awesome time and no rain!

Actually got to ride on both the 3rd and 4th for a total of about 125 miles - unheard of for me, with my schedule!
Got pretty hot by the time I was back on the 3rd, but the 4th was a dream, both weather and ride-wise. Pretty morning for some local canyon and foothill riding.
Decided to stop at this little schoolhouse from the 1800s for a quick photo (of questionable cell-phone quality!). Somehow, the history of the place seemed appropriate for the day we celebrate our country's independence and history. Coincidentally, my brother-in-law was instrumental in saving and restoring it when he was head of the county parks and recreation dept.

Borrowed my buddies toy hauler/RV and went up north to Ashland Wisconsin area for the weekend as we always do. I have always wanted to ride a bike on those twisty wooded roads. I finally go the chance! The wife is loving the backrest too. I wish I had a good road picture, but these will have to do..
