I'm lucky to get 40mpg. I don't ride hard, but there is no way I'll see the 50+ mpg some of these guys get on the forum.

That is strange as even while riding in the mountains during the Forum Rally I was still averaging better than 48 MPG. A good thing too when ferret assured me I had plenty of fuel to make Cherokee from the high point on the BRP albeit my fuel gauge had been flashing a while. Made Cherokee with some fuel to spare.

I usually get to 115 miles and my light flashes with one gallon left. Something must be off on your bike. That's about 185km Same size tank.

Told ya to trust me that you would make it. These bikes have such pessimistic fuel gauges.

Mine varies widely as well. If I'm ripping around the city I can use two bars on the gauge in 30 kms. On the highway at a cruise (~5000 rpms) I get in the low 50 mpg range.
One thing that took me a while to figure it out was that if you're filling the tank while standing the bike straight up you can get about an extra liter of gas in there by filling it till it almost comes out the filler and watching it go down. I guess we have a section of our tanks that forms an air pocket.

I only get around 38 mpg too. I ride 90% city rides under 10 miles though so lots of warm ups, stop lights, and traffic.

Coming close to surpassing 10,000 miles on my 2013. Have always gotten between 47 and 54 MPG.

I just went out and did a fast curvy roads run. Zeroed A mode before I took off. Don't think you'd want to run the loop I ran much faster than what I did, unless you were on a full on sport bike. Know the roads well having ridden them hundreds if not thousands of times. Ran into no traffic, hit every apex and carried my speed thru the corners. Was quite proud of the run. The kind of run that makes you say YESSSSSSSS and pump your fisted arm when it's over. 39.8 miles. Averaged 60.3 miles per gallon per the computer.

I'm getting 37 to 40 mpg with semi aggressive riding. Bike is still in its break-in period so hopefully it gets better later on.
