A small step for man...
#1
A small step for man, but a giant leap for mankind! No, I did not walk on the moon. I did something even greater! It's on such a huge scale that I find it necessary to announce it here!
As I logged in today as I normally do every night (just to see who's doing what) I noticed the "icon" (I'm even using the language!) on the top right hand corner labeled "FORUM STORE". Now just out of curiosity and knowing that if it got too technical I would run with my tail between my legs, I "CLICKED" on it and before I knew what was happening I had my credit card out and my driver's license (I don't memorize my address you see...) Well, I'm here to tell you that I actually "CLIKED" my way into PURCHASING A RED T SHIRT! Yes sir, I actually bought a T shirt on the computer! But hey, that's not all, I was kind of feeling a little empty (it all happened so fast!) and I kind of clicked on again, and this time I bought a COFFEE MUG! If it wasn't for the fact that it's almost midnight, I felt[/size] like calling my knuckleheaded son and tell him what I just did! But what I think I'll do is to show up on the CB at his house and ask for some coffee you see, and when he sees the mug I'll take off my Johnny Rocket jacket and show him that red T shirt! Then very slowly I will tell him how I got the mug and the shirt. Now I now he will not believe me because there is no way I could have done it on my own, but I don't care! Inside I will know that I DID IT! I'm almost feeling like Clark Kent holding back on the true identity of Superman. I can see me sipping coffee on an easy chair with that red T shirt explaining in every minute detail of how I got the darn things in the COMPUTER! Ain't science grand!

Congrats Hiram, I know you struggle with this computer stuff and it's good seeing you make advancements. You will get it. We have all been there, believe me.

Hiram,

I can feel your frustration with Samurider. After all the instructions I posted, I know they didn't work. I found out why when I ordered my Road Comet and the invoice came in and was different that what I tried to tell you about. It was in ALL Japanese and different than the previous ones Mr. T sent. I found a Kanji character that made it into English and saved the invoice in case someone else had the problem. By then it was way too late to help you though.

If you can order mugs, you can order stuff from all over the internet now! Farkel away! Smile

Thumbs Up Thanks for the reminder about the Store. I had forgotten about it. Just ordered my T-shirt and matching coffee cup. Best regards to all, HW

NASA is actively planning a manned mission to Mars. Hiram, I know you're excited by your new found abilities but I strongly suggest you hold off on applying for a crew member position just yet.

Congratulations! I'm afraid to ask but, how about a photo of you in your new shirt and mug when they arrive?

Well, I can almost handle the trip to Mars, but now you're asking that I travel beyond our GALAXY!! Anyway these are baby steps. One day I'll figure out what the heck "double click" means!

Really? I was sure that it had to do with those "clikers" they issued on D-DAY so as to identify the Allies from the Germans! I could never understand why we were "double clicking" when we darn well know that invasion was a total success and that the war had been won for many years....
