2 CB 1100's.

A 2013 I put 8500 miles on, no warranty work (although I thought it had a defective rear brake, Honda disagreed.)

A 2014 Dlx I've put 16,000 miles on, no warranty work (although I don't think the rear brake is much better than on my 13, I've never taken it in, because I know what Honda will say).

Honda themselves didn't want to know about the fender, even though at the time the bike was only 4 months old with only 300 miles, and had been tucked away over the winter months. Was only the intervention of a dedicated service manager at a local dealership that got it sorted. The spoke problem is being dealt with, no questions asked, but will be off the road for at least 2 weeks. I've owned bm's, kawasaki's and yamaha's with no corrosion issues over the years, l wonder if this quality is the norm.

Like Ferret, I had the rear brake problem and the dealer didn't want to hear it. So I had to bleed the brake on my (at the time) brand new bike. A LOT of air was in the line. Other than that-no problems.

This was my response when the salesman asked if I was interested in the extended warranty. He dropped his shoulders and with a resigned look answered "that's what everyone says" and just moved on with the sale.

I guess that's an enviable reputation to have in any industry.

I recently had mine in for an oil leak at the bolt that is under the engine hanger, they put some high heat silicone on it and said it was good to go.
I took it out for good 100 mile ride and looked and the leak was still there maybe even a tad worse. After that I got to looking at the rest of the engine and noticed it's "seeping" in several spots at the valve cover gaskets.
Getting ready to take it back in, it's a 3 hour round trip journey every time so I am hoping next time will take care of it.
