Honda Australia - CB1100

Hi Guys

I have been reading a few posts lately about the frustration we in Australia have towards Honda Australia for the lack of vision/marketing towards the CB1100.

The bike was only released here for a limited time then discontinued.

I for one didn't even know the bike existed until a few months ago and have yet to see one on the roads...

I had Honda in the 70's and absolutely loved my CB400 four. When I saw the 1100 it was like it's big brother is here and I want one!

Well I have just written to Honda Australia and told them my frustration along with a lot of fellow CB1100 lovers that are unable to buy one here!

I'm even tempted to get my mate in Japan to buy one and ship it out here as I've just seen one with spoke wheels that looks stunning!

I'd be interested to hear how many other Aussies are feeling my frustration on here...

I don't think you're alone in wanting Honda to start selling bikes there again. At this point they could ask a pretty penny and get it.

I think they would want around $17k for it if they bring it out, which is probably more than I can afford...

Do you have a CB1100? I have spoken to someone that has one with very low k's and hasn't had any problems with it.

It was active as recently as yesterday, so it appears you have some company in wanting to see the return of the CB1100.

Hey Blandy, in the thread Flynrider referred you to is a link to a dealer in NZ who has imported one o spec for test rides and the promise of getting individual units if requested. I assume that's what an 'indent order' is. You could try to find a dealer in OZ who would do the same for you.

There's a few of us Australians on the forum who have CBs. We all love 'em. Except for me. I hate mine.
