Paris
#1
There's a number of members on the forum from France. I read with great sadness reports of the monstrous events in Paris over the weekend. I hope the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice and the free world redoubles its efforts to put an end to the antics of these brutes.

My thoughts are with you. I hope you and your families escaped harm.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, french members of the forum. My family escaped harm, but the extent of the massacre is such that I think we all know at least someone who got injured or killed. As many observers have noted France stands for everything these fanatics love to hate, including an unrestricted appreciation of the small and great pleasures of our terrestrial life and a general irreverence. So despite our grief and despite their fanaticism we must continue to be irreverent and to enjoy life at it's most, including our bike rides!

Mes sincères condoléances.

Seems more in order, I believe... as do many Parisians and French and Western Europeans for that matter.

And to put things in perspective: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/16/world/....html?_r=1
Know these kind of things happen on a daily/weekly basis in that part of the world...esp Syria.
I hope those who do pray for Paris also pray for the biggest victims of these barbarians, namely the people in the middle east.

The recent events in Paris were certainly tragic and unacceptable, and I extend my sincere condolences to anyone who was even remotely affected by the perverse, evil actions of a few. That being said, I truly hope this CB1100 forum doesn't become an outlet for discussions such as these. Lord knows there are a myriad of contemporary topics that we could voice here, and I know I don't have to click on topics that don't interest me, but let's please keep this forum dedicated to motorcycles, specifically to the bike we all adore, the CB1100.

+1 My local sportbike forum has degenerated into this and it just goes into back and forth arguing.
