So, you purchase a 2014 DLX and are not really liking the graphics on the tank. I have an easy way to fix that.
First you plan a 700 mile weekend trip to get an In 'N Out burger. You take the BMW because it has saddle bags. The second day of the trip is about 400 miles and you don't get home until about 8:30pm. You are dog tired. You pull into the garage, flick the kickstand down on the Beemer and start to get off the bike. As the bike is leaning over, you realize that the kickstand did not deploy at about the same time you realize you cannot stop the fall. The bar end and bar end mirror scrape the tank of your CB1100. The Beemer is undamaged.
Well, now you have the tank repainted without the graphics. The painters did a great job. Color match is perfect and the graphics are gone. Only cost $250.00.
