CB1100 "U" lock, One key type. Part number??
#1
I followed what appears to be an old, well worn thread about the official Honda branded "U" lock, which is designed to stow away in a recessed area on the fender, under the seat, but ran into trouble.

Webike has two different ones available, but unfortunately they are too wide to fit. One lock is short, the other long, but neither are the right width. I emailed Takashi at Samurider about this "U" lock, but he says he is sold out.

I'm assuming the lock is discontinued then? Apparently the locks I have are not correct.

Anyone have one of these locks? Part number?

Please and Thank you.

Roger,

Can't help with the part number, but I recall people had lots of fun getting the 'one key' to work. If yo get that far, there's instructions, here—http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2794

Thanks Cormanus, but I am an accomplished "One Key" pro after getting my locks coded for the top boxes on my 2013 and 2014 Deluxe. I have two lock cylinders, Type A and B, so all I need now is the actual "U" lock and I'm in business.

Roger,

I have one and might be able to find the part number, but the easier way is to email Mr. T and get it from Samurider. That's how I did it when the bikes first came out.
Roger,

Found it. Turns out I ordered it from Webike as we had not discovered Samurider yet back then.

Here is the number from the invoice (I always save them): 08M53EWM000E

Mr. T can sell you the rubber band needed to hold it, if you want it. I don't know if Webike sells it or not.

Wish I had known there were different size U-locks when I got one for the ST. Mr. T didn't know that as they don't have STs in Japan and I ended up with (another) CB one. It works ok though.

You have to translate it after you go to the page, but it basically says that it's not available.

Then I'd give Mr. T a shout.

Thanks for the info everyone, but it appears that the lock is either unavailable or discontinued. Takashi-San assures me that he will let me know if he can get his hands on more of them.

I think, the part# is 08M53-MFL-800 and it is available at the Honda dealership, at least here in Germany:
