I was looking forward to this show so much since they cancelled the show in D.C. I was going to do a crazy whirlwind trip on the train leaving at 0400 and returning late that same night. Apparently, I am the only one crazy enough around here as none of my friends could/would agree to go with me.
I've decided to stay here and go to the MX track with my boy since we don't get many 70 degree weekends in December! Please take, and post, a lot of pictures!

Bad memories of the last show I went to at the Javitts Center. It must have been 2008, as I had just bought my F800ST from BMW of Manhattan the previous June. I rode up on a nice clear day, and rode home in a darn-near snow storm. I remember watching the temperature readout hover around 33 degrees, and I was just about soaked everywhere (except for my warm & toasty hands, of course). Worst weather I've ever ridden in, and I don't think I'll let that happen again. I should've just found a hotel somewhere along the NJ Turnpike. Luckily, I've since realized how good Amtrak is at providing all of my NYC travel needs

Little chance of that happening this year Jim. Fri- Sat- Sunday temps will be 62, 64, and 66. Sunday will break the all time record.
My original plan was to go Saturday morning, but I may head over after work tonight. I could be there around 5PM which still gives me plenty of time.

-went to the motorcycle show last night for a couple of hours. Great to see the new bikes. It was busy as it is every year on opening day. I got to see the new Triumph Bonneville T120 with the bigger engine up close. Really nice bike but I'm would still pick the CB1100 over it.
Spent a lot of time sitting on and looking at the black 2014 CB1100 that Honda had on the floor. Pleasantly surprised that Honda was still showcasing the bike despite no 2015 and 2016 model of the bike. Didn't even go to the Ducati booth-

I was at the show, too. Agree is was nice to see the CB1100 on display, but unfortunately the representative I talked to lacked much knowledge about the bike. Maybe I spoke to the wrong person, but he claimed that there were 10 new 2014 CB1100s at Motorcycle Mall in NJ. I told him that a lot of people lamented the lack of new DLXs out there and he said "we have both." When I pressed him on that he kind of punted and said "we have 11,000 square feet of bikes so I'm sure we must have some." Oh well. I would be quite surprised if that were true!! One thing he said was pretty interesting--that he understood Honda was looking at creating some similar new/retro CBs such as a 400 and a 750. Anyone ever hear that mentioned anywhere else?

I'd be wary of what a Motorcycle Mall employee says. Since I'm buying (bought but don't have it yet) a Guzzi, and MM is my local dealer, I'm worried. Check Yelp. Something like 13 favorable reviews of the place and 153 negative!

Wouldn't mind seeing the Ducati booth, as that new XDiavel is one gnarly-looking machine.
At over $20 grand, it has every right to be.

I couldn't make it to the NYC show so I made even better plans! South Beach Miami! Anybody going?
Oh, I almost forgot, They have a great convention center too!
