Happy to say the weather was clear and dry that day going down one of the major interstate arteries through Chicago, and even happier to say that the local and state constables on patrol (otherwise known as COP's) were not in the vicinity! Wanted to see how well the newly mounted NC Street Shield EX would perform at higher speeds.... Big Grin Suffice it to say, the rev limiter kicked in before the shield showed any signs of wobbling amidst the barrage of oncoming air!

As others have mentioned, once that rev limiter kicks in, it feels like someone has let the air out of your ability to accelerate. The bike keeps moving forward, at speed, but without any vigor or sense of forward thrust or momentum! Alas, it IS highly effective at doing just what it's designed to do... namely keep one from going any faster, period! Needless to say, did NOT have my camera at the ready for a peak at that peak experience!

P.S. - As a pastor who rides, I guess one could say there's another definition in play here of what exactly a "rev limiter" is...! Angel

That's not the rev limiter, that's the speed limiter Tongue

Heck, I could do the rev limiter in my garage... Big Grin

I ride corrected, popgun, but it doesn't make for as good of a pun....

Fritz, it's good we can call you a rev head without fear of contradiction.

Thanks, Cormanus, I appreciate the sentiment. Believe me, even as a pastor, I've been called FAR worse...!
