Deciscions, deciscions - what do you think?

I chose the black rims because I feel with what you have going....black exhaust, side covers, and seat the rims would add to it. But, if you start painting the fenders etc and losing that chrome then you're tipping the balance towards a rat bike and losing that understated sporty look with a touch of classic you have now....

I like the look of the silver with the black spokes on the rims. They would look great on my standard!

Mine are the flat black that comes on the standard. I wish they would have been what you wanted because I really like the black spokes with the silver rims.

I like the contrast with the silver rims.

Not gonna vote because they both look great! I do think there can be a tendency to "chase the black". As soon as you make one change--your exhaust, and it looks cool, then something else stands out--rims, and you think, "well, maybe I should keep going 'cause it will look even more cool". As others have posted, some contrast is good, and all black is just that--rat, "murdered", fine as well, but not my thing. I have a '14 standard and love the contrast of black / chrome fenders, pipes and "golden" headers. The RLET addition was the extent to which it will get "darker". : )

Thanks man! Yeah this is the bike I got rid of when I got the CB - so I like black. BUT the more I look at it I think I'm sticking with silver. You're totally right about chasing black - I like some things blacked out - but I don't want a totally murdered out bike anymore (after this pic I added black handlebars, black mirrors, and was in the process of putting on black pipes).

Stryker?

I had a Raider I bought back in '07 - it was a sweet ride.

Yours looks great.

Silver, unless you were to change fender color, but then I might still vote silver. Have you considered going to painted fenders and leaving the wheels silver ?

Just from the photo's; I think the black rims are too much. Silver rims are nice play off all the black.
The cruiser you got rid of has silver pipes to off set the rest of the black (and some other bits) so the black rims play well there On the CB you went with the black exhaust so going to the rims too will be jumping the shark.
