Ferret, do you know how much they charge per hour for labor? Im wondering how much time they are charging you for the install and at what rate.

This is of no help to you, but locally they charge $30.00 to mount and balance a new tire (purchased there) if I take the wheel off and bring it in myself.
Purchase the tire elsewhere and the charge is about double.

Since I retired I change tires for people and ask for a $20 "donation"
for my travel fund, last year I changed about 100 tires -
Much better then the 1000 that I changed the last year we were in bis. Smile

I wish you were in my neighborhood, CA Tongue

I rode across town to the tire store this morning and ordered a new BT45 for the CB750. I like these guys because all they do is motorcycle tires. Looks like it'll cost about $20 more than if I ordered on the Internet and had them mount it, but I'm willing to spend the extra bucks to help keep these guys in business. I've had mixed results having dealers do my tire mounting (scratches, balance issues). Never had an issue with a shop that deals exclusively in motorcycle tires.
