If you have ever seen the large book " the ultimate guide to Honda street bikes" I actually owned the CB550 in the book....not one like it but the actual bike. (I won't talk about how stupid I was to sell it a few years ago) I just really loved the bike compared to my CB750, CB650 custom and 900 custom. It handled great around town and on the mountain roads on 421. The only bike that has come anywhere close was my 99 Kawasaki W650.

Of formerly owned CBs, I'd have to say my original 1979 CBX was pretty special. I think it was the FIRST Honda to make over 100HP. I only owned it for a few years, but compared to my new CB1100, there is no comparison in the comfort department. The CBX was horrid! I also liked my 1992 750 Night Hawk, which like my CB1100, was painted black and looked absolutely gorgeous. Perhaps my favorite Honda was my original (bought new) 1965 CB305 SuperHawk. I never had one, but the CL250/305 Scrambler was THE BIKE to have back in my high school days. It had straight upswept twin pipes on the right side with only a butter fly swivel cutout at the oulet tips to help mute the exhaust. That Scrambler sounded GREAT!
Honorable mentions: My 1997 Super Blackbird, painted black of course and my early 90s Honda Magna 750.
As far as other makes, my favorites are my currently owned Triumph Bonneville T100 and before that my all black 2004 Daytona 955i SE (Special Edition). Although way too much of an uncomfortable sport bike ride for me, I loved to open up the latter on freeways, because it had an awesome sounding induction howl that gave me goose bumps at full throttle. I think that bike at 147hp was good for about 170 mph bone stock too!

For me they would be the bikes I currently own, but I still have a very soft spot for the first bike I owned in 34 years, a 1989 Honda Hawk NT650 - and now wish I had never sold.

Motorcycles are like guns; never sell one, just keep adding to the collection. I have regrets over every bike and gun I ever sold.

Yamaha R1, especially after the 2008 introduction of the cross-plane crank. Good looks, superlative build quality, japanese reliability and a certain soul that can usually only come from European bikes.

I think my CB750 is my favorite CB (besides the CB11). If you're talking Hondas in general, then I think it would be the original VF750F Interceptor.

I have come to really love our Honda ST 1300. I really didn't start "loving it" until I had gotten 34,000 miles on it.... I mean it was always a great, more than capable mount, single or double up, but in the last 38,000 miles it has really grown on me, so much so that I have considered buying another for when this one is worn out.

Prior to that my next favorite bike was our 1977 KZ1000 Kawasaki. Reminds me a lot of the CB1100.

Soft spot in my heart for my '74 CB550 who carried me many a mile in the 70's & 80's, got rid of it because in my youth I totally bought into bigger means better.
Favorite still is/was my ST1100, first bike I owned with actual luggage. Great convenience being able to safely carry a few groceries home and to have both work and riding clothes on my commute. Decent power and handling, smooth and quiet. That bike and I traveled far and wide for ten years until a car took a right turn from the middle lane. Pisser.
CB1100 is growing on me, solid and dependable. First Honda in a number of years.More I ride it the better I like it.
But my Ural still makes me laugh when I ride it and my dogs ride with me.
