I decided to stick with the original CB1100 DLX that I found at Fay Myers in Colorado -- a stunning and immaculate machine that has just over 1,000 miles on it. Still a beautiful find and one I will be thrilled to finally receive. Hoping the shipping company will pick it up from the dealer tomorrow and get it to me in 10-14 days. It's already paid in full and registered in my name and has the temporary plate on it.

When I spoke with the owner of the bike in Ohio, the one with under 600 miles on it, (About 450 I believe) we just really hit it off and he even offered to deliver the bike from Ohio to NJ for me. So I spent a few days considering trying to sell the bike in Colorado I have not even seen yet, and going with the one in Ohio. It turns out that I spoke with 2 interested parties, but it didn't work out with either. I HIGHLY recommend the bike in Ohio on Craigslist to anyone looking for a DLX. In addition to the photos posted on CL, I saw a 6 minute video and about 30 additional photos, and the bike is pure mint condition.

Congrats Bighonda14! I can't imagine how excited you must be looking forward to the delivery of such a great Honda motorcycle. You are the envy of all of us here, especially those of us that feel so enamored by the rarity and extra prestige of the CB1100 Deluxe model. It is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL machine! ENJOY!!!

Stay tuned for photos -- possibly of the bike being loaded into the truck, and definitely 2,000 or so miles later when it gets unloaded on my driveway . . .

I spotted an available DLX that has under 600 miles on it, was purchased about 2 years ago, and has not yet had its initial oil change or any other service done to it. It's battery is on a charger and there is stabilizer in the gas tank and the owner takes it on a brief ride or runs the motor for a bit about once a month.

Would that issue -- a bike of that age and mileage that has never had an oil change -- be a concern for you if you were considering purchasing it?

Hello, I am JCHONDA; the owner of the bike in this discussion and it is still available. The only reason I am selling the bike is my wife wants me to get a trike so she will feel much safer when we ride. This bike is all that BIGHONDA says it is.
