It only has about 500 miles on it but...I think it may have a few issues idk. When using the front brake hard it vibrates like an ABS feel, or like a warped disk feel. I need to take pictures and ask questions on this forum for another issue on the handlebars. They move a little but I dont know the part name so i'll post that question later with pics. It jerks a little on acceleration and deceleration. It makes me think the chain needs tightening. I haven't ridden it since I got it home. It needs paperwork still.

The hands-down, best system for transporting a street bike on a trailer is to use a "Canyon Dancer Bar Harness". Google it; they're available on Amazon. I own one and love it.

Buckwheat, the throttle can be abrupt on these (or any fuel injected) bikes. The proper chain tension is a big deal on the CBs. When adjusted properly a lot of the jerkiness will go away, as long as proper throttle control is done.
The handlebars are rubber shock mounted so that may be some of your movement.

With only 500 miles on it, I don't think there could be anything wrong with the brake, unless it was defective from the factory, which is totally un-Honda like. Check the air pressure in the tires first for the "vibration". Also examine the tire closely for any flat spots, etc.

Thanks popgun and ClassicVW. I'll look it over next week. I'll be using The ferret's first service thread too for oil and chain tolerance. This is only my 2nd bike in 3 years since quitting 25yrs ago. I have a 81 CM400A which is a big difference from the CB1100. I am so glad for modern social media and for the people that participate in this forum. It's a wealth of information of hundreds of combined years of riding experience and specific knowledge on this particular bike. Over the last year or more I've probably read 75% of this entire forum without even owning the model. So thanks everyone for sharing.

500 miles on a three year old bike. I'm guessing the throttle will clear up once you put some fresh gas in it. I'd also add a splash of Seafoam for good measure. Hopefully it isn't too gummed up.

![]() I trailer my bikes for a few years and over long distances, because i live about 1000km from the alps ![]() There is no problem with naked bikes. I use sleeves on the fork and straps on the rack (Givi at CB)(sw motech at NC) It is not so easy to get the bikes on the trailer. I need a third and fourth hand. First gear and carefully using the clutch, going beside the bike and it crawl up the ramp. ...on the Autobahn again: Have a nice day T M
