I have entered the year in which I turn 70. Yikes. 3 friends my age and I traveled from Prescott, Arizona to Nichols West (a restaurant) in Congress, Arizona. A one hour ride to an out of the way restaurant. The significance is the restaurant ONLY takes reservations and while we were there at least 20 people were turned away. Congress, Arizona! Who knew?
Low 60's- minimal traffic-sunny.
Once again I cannot overstate the joy which drew me to a CB1100.

Congrats. My goal has always been to ride until I'm 70. 3 years 4 months to go. I'm hoping now, to ride well beyond that, but that has been my goal for many years.
Glad you are enjoying your CB. It is indeed a special motorcycle.

Welcome to the club Ferret.
Our group was 65,69,70 and 75. 70 is just a bump in the road.
And thank you

I started riding in 1966 when I was 20 years old. After 23 years in the saddle, I took a 25 year hiatus from motorcycling. Then I bought a CB500XA for my 68th birthday present and started all over again. Over the last 3 summers I have ridden 33374 happy kilometers (20740 miles) on that motorcycle.
This year I hope to have a 2017 CB1100 EX for my 71st birthday present.

-68th B.D. was last August & I never thought a nanosecond about what age it would be when I stop riding. Maybe it will be something like this:
I was once a gangly youth out trick-or-treating with my bro's and sisters when at one stop, the lady at the door looked at me very critically and said, "Aren't you a bit old to be out doing this?" I looked around and noticed those next to me and them a-coming my way were way shorter, smaller, considerably more youthful in stature & demeanor. I slumped home right after that, never to return with a brown paper shopping bag at a stranger's doorstep.
Maybe someday I'll get a ticket and the cop will say the same. Maybe then I'll actually feel kinda proud instead of humiliated like in the first instance. Maybe time for a dirtbike then . . . ?

Geez, my goal has always been to survive this season and ride again next season, or maybe it is survive my ride today and ride again tomorrow. Either way, good goals to have. Pushing 72 this year and enjoying every minute in the saddle.

70?? I'll be 80 this year and never felt better!
But don't be in a hurry to get there. The years seem to be flying by all too fast as it is
