#11
Dealers in the UK already have the RS in stock:

The American Honda Motor Co's powersport division just can't seem to get it's mojo back....

We have a forum member in England that has ridden and ordered one. JUst waiting on him to pick it up and send us some pics and give us a ride report.

Perhaps Honda America still remembers how the 2014 Deluxe killed the 2014 Standard sales, and don't want to see the RS do the same to the 2017 EX.

Or maybe it's just numbers. Over the years there has been a large number of CB1100s sold to those of us that appreciate a heritage styled motorcycle. Add to that the number the used CB1100s that have been offered for sale as well. I don't think we are a large segment of Honda motorcycle sales, and the small retro sales market may be reaching a saturation point.

Or maybe they are just waiting to see how the 2017 EX sells, before bringing the RS to America. Only time will tell.

This really makes no sense. Honda can easily afford to bring a handful of RS's in, see what model moves. In little over a year, Triumph, a company that sells 50k bikes annually, has introduced the Street Twin, Street Cup, Street Scrambler, Bonnie T100 and T120, Thruxton and R, and Bobber. All around the same platform. Plus hundreds of accessories. And they're selling well. C'mon Honda.

I'm with you, Capo. It's madness. By not importing what they ought to argue is the better model, they're sending a message that they don't have a lot of faith in the bike.

I'm hoping to order one in a couple of weeks time (here in Thailand). My local Honda (Big Wing) dealer says delivery will be early June or maybe sooner.
I'll keep you posted!

I wish Honda would look at the Triumph website where you can virtually build your bike from color to accessories and it will show you a picture of it.

Never heard of leasing a motorcycle before but Honda Canada does. https://motorcycle.honda.ca/lease-finance/lease-options
you should have bought a DELUXE
2014 Honda CB1100 DLX
2002 Honda CB750 Nighthawk

Honestly and sadly, I don't think Honda cares much about the motorcycle division anymore. They are more interested in airplanes, robots and automobiles.

You forgot financing. It is a large part of their business.
