Cruising up the 101 in my car heading to my girlfriends house in Ventura, I was behind a motorcycle. As I got in the right lane toward my exit, I noticed the beautiful red tank and knew right away that I was finally, for the first time, in the presence of another, real-life cb1100

. I was more excited than I care to admit so I (safely) pulled out my phone and took a few snaps! Hope this is a member and they see this. The rider never looked my way and I didn't want to get to lose for safety reasons, so I wasnt able to give them a thumbsup. But the bike looked great!

You got a beautiful shot. Red side panel and exhaust should help identify.

Looks like he's loaded up for a trip.
That exhaust looks loud - really loud.
I cringe at the lack of gloves, but respect his freedom to choose.
Nice picture, thanks for sharing.

Cool! I've only seen one around me, twice. If anyone on the forum has a black '14 and visits the memory care center next to the hospital on Chapman in Orange, let me know!
I'll bet that bike was LOUD. And I thought I was the only one around these parts with a '13 with red side covers!

He seems to have the same exhaust I have (except mine is black). It has a small baffle insert that quiets it down a lot. My bike is not super loud at all.
I am happy that I got to see a red one in person, pictures really don't do that red any justice. It was gorgeous. And I generally don't like red bikes or cars.

Yeah, the '13 red really pops in the sunlight. I am no doubt biased, but it's my favorite color for this bike.

My '13 has red side covers, but the PO said he'd had them painted.
