On Monday I officially became a full fledged firefighter and had my pinning ceremony where I received my firefighter badge. Over 200+ hours of work put into this over the past year and a half. Felt very good to be done, yet now the real learning really begins.
Last night detailed and adjusted/cleaned my CB chain for the second time since I replaced chain and sprockets this past winter. I haven't been able to ride as much as I'd like to this year, as of now I am at 981 miles for the year. (Attached photo is from last year, I am terrible at remembering to take photos)
And today, picked up an engagement ring
, gonna pop that question when we go up north to my families cabin at the end of september!
Congrats! on becoming full fledged, that's awesome.
Does your CB1100 suspect that you're going to pop the question?
...
Sorry, that was bad.

Last summer my son got engaged and now we're 6 weeks away from the wedding. Fun times.

Wow, Magna! Congratulations on all fronts. I hope all of your efforts to become a firefighter lead to an awesome new career. One of my best friends recently retired from FDNY. It was an amazing journey for him, and I was always kinda jealous. Mostly because he knows how to steer the back end of a hook and ladder truck.
And congrats on the upcoming engagement! I still remember all of the excitement and anticipation that welled up on the day I bended knee and held up what was the equivalent of a Corolla in a very small box.
And speaking of jealousy, I want your shop space. I could put that to very good use.
You know what? I actually would like a pickle.

Magna, congratulations on this great achievement... do you always carry a portable fire extinguisher with you?

Congrats. my younger brother is a retired Firefighter, although in the sleep little brick building'd village he worked in, he mostly put out car fires and made emergency medical runs on old people (our age now lol).
Congrats too on the engagement. Been married to a wonderful lady for 52 years now. Picking the right one can be a blessing.
It doesn't matter what I ride, how far or how fast, only that I ride .... every day
