What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today
tommymck, looks even better in full sunlight, and I love the background. Perhaps that's where the bike was stored, but I like checking out boats of all shapes and sizes.

Removed the dust cover, replaced the battery and it fired up immediately.  Filled the tires, got it home and changed the oil.  The BMW now gets to sit on storage for a while.

Amazing.

You should go for the retro front fender.

Out of four motorcyclists, I was the only one who did not have a gun... Cool

They look like kind hearted, fair individuals

It doesn't matter what I ride, how far or how fast, only that I ride .... every day

They certainly park their bikes neatly.

Impressive parking! And looking at the crash bars, they apparently lay their bikes down much less frequently than the fleet I'm working with...
You know what? I actually would like a pickle.

After several hot and humid summer days, yesterday was gorgeous.  The Orioles had the day off, so it was not an option to blow the evening in the garage, fiddling with a motorcycle while listening to a game on the radio.  An evening ride beckoned.  So I rode through the country roads in Valley Lee and on through Piney Point to Saint George Island.  Saint George Island is very small and all the new houses built there are on stilts, since the island is about three feet above sea level.  I turned around at the place that said "Turn around here," and headed toward home.

On the way back, I stretched my legs at the Piney Point boat ramp.  It may have been my imagination, but the world seemed a little greener after the much-needed inch of rain we received from a thunderstorm the previous evening.  I checked my text messages to see if my friend had seen my note about maybe stopping by to see his Triumph and his project '65 Mustang.  He hadn't, so instead I stopped at the Beer Cave, hoping to find six of something to photograph with my bike.  I learned that the Beer Cave closes at 7 p.m. on Mondays instead of 9 p.m.  It was 8.  I took a couple photos anyway before moving on.  The Beer Cave doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is a treasure trove.  It competes well with just about any place for selection per square foot.

I continued home and stopped one more time for a photo, approaching St. Mary's College.  I had great difficulty getting a shot, as I had to keep pretending to do other things with my phone besides take glamour shots of my bike, as the other cars and bikes kept rolling by.  I arrived home and garaged the bike a couple minutes before evening colors sounded at the Navy outlying field nearby.  It was a lovely evening, and I'm glad I spent it on two wheels.
