After a full mechanical service, she’ll get the decal livery, lights and cameras. Plus a new windshield after a life of sandblasting on Inland Empire highways. Oddly, this is the most visually worn and highest mileage, yet is the smoothest shifting bike so far.
She was truly loved.

She was pretty abused, from the looks of it.

Well it happened, finally sold my first bike my '84 magna. End of an era, sad to see her go but my wallet and shop space is happy.
Now to find a new vintage bike

Good luck in your search… what are you thinking about for a replacement?

Honestly, one of the first gen inline 4 hondas. 400, 500, 550 or 750. SOHC, kickstart and as original as I can find. They vary in price, ideally, I find a good barn find that just needs a good deep clean to get cosmetically back to original and an engine freshen to get running. Basically, what the magna was for me when I first got it.
I'd love for an orange or blue CB. Love those colors

Funny you should mention it. Had a long conversation with Mrs. G’s boss last night. He’s had quite a long love of motorcycles and it turns out that we were both on the L. A. DGR and didn’t know it.
He said he’d had a good number of early CB750s back when they were just cheap, used bikes, and decided he wanted one again. He just lucked into a barn find ‘70 in great, complete shape. They are still out there!

Today, I saw this one:
It has about 90 kms range and goes up to 60 km/h as per the owner.
NO valve adjustment and NO oil change
