Idea Could be big

The FIM rulebook only stipulates leather, but I am still waiting for my friend to get back to me on what is their take on kevlar. He is travelling for now, but I should get an answer soon.

I think DG hit on one of the issues. Kevlar is very difficult to work with and there are ony a couple of companies that even make Kevlar garments. (others may sell them, but I'm talking manufacturer) If the market was larger, or the company could gain an advertising advantage, then I'd see it happening. But the upside I imagine, would be small.

I've never had a pair, but friends have mentioned that they are rather uncomfortable.

Hey, dUh! How are you? Haven't seen you about the place for a while.

Doing good. Just checking out some ideas for a new jacket.
I am not that smart - and usually don't have much to say Blush

Would like a better jacket ... and pants for the trip to Deals Gap in a few months. Have my vacation turned in 18th -1st. Big Grin

As far as kevlar jeans go check out motto wear! They are here located in my home town of Temecula.

One of the slides on the homepage is a guy on a cb1100 making sparks Smile

The problem with leather is that it looses its ability to protect after getting wet so you have to make sure it's kept treated or slowly but surely it will get less and less protective. Not a problem when racing but for every day use kevlar is better because it doesn't weaken over time
