The day job brought me to wine country this week and I'm amazed at how most riders (commuters, I think) go ATGATT!!
I'm working in the Lake Sonoma area this week. Beautiful country up here.
That'd be all

I'm so jealous. My job never sent me to such marvelous places. I visited my uncle in that vicinity years ago. He allowed me to use his BMW 2002tii and I had a blast; so many fine roads and scenery.

Coming from Florida it might seen like a bit of a culture shock, eh?

Beautiful area, indeed. I'd love to ride a motorcycle through there someday, myself.
Oddly enough, I spent my junior high and first year of high school years (when I first started riding street motorcycles) just a few miles from there. Never thought of doing it then; it was just a place my parents used to run off to on weekends with friends!

With people here riding in shorts, tank tops, flip flops and no helmets, it was impressive to see all commuters decked out in their riding gear.
Twas kinda cool... But I would not like to be caught in the downtown Frisco traffic in full leathers.

SF is one of the better places to be in full leathers. Now head out to the Easy bay in the 580/680 corridors in the middle of the summer...yeah, no thanks. It can be 45° - 55° hotter there than it is in SF at the same time of day.
I have seen the temp at 56° on the ocean side of SF and it was 105° in Livermore.

^^^ What he said.
That's why some of us live on the Peninsula where it's pretty-much a steady 70-85 degrees.

I used to enjoy cruising the napa area and other places up there.
