I'm wearing a Bell RS-1. It's not made anymore, and it's kind of noisy, and not retro at all. It fits me well, though. I'm thinking about trying out one of the Nexx XG100s, next. They have a bit of a retro vibe, and are a little cheaper than the Bell Bullitt. They don't appear to have much ventilation, which appears to be the case with most retro full face helmets.

Schuberth C3 Pro- It's not vintage looking but I don't trade safety for looks when it comes to my head. It's also incredibly quiet with earplugs (I like my Flare Audio Isolates a LOT) and comfortable.

I've been wearing an [url=https://www.araiamericas.com/helmets/vector-2/fluorescent-yellow]Arai Vector-2 since 2012, when I started riding, so it is my first and only helmet. I purchased the helmet because it fit my head and has a [url=http://www.smf.org]Snell rating. It is very comfortable but I believe it would probably be considered noisy. It is also not a good helmet for cold-weather riding...I have to tape up the chin vent inside and out to prevent leakage and wear a face/neck shield stuffed up into the helmet to ward off cold. No chin curtain is offered.



Now, I have grown [url=http://www.mcrider.com/snell-motorcycle-helmet-certification-rated/]skeptical of the Snell rating. It is oriented around unrealistically high-energy impacts and even double impacts at the same location. The Snell test forces a helmet design that may not provide sufficient reduction of G-forces to the brain in most typical motorcycle get-offs, where your head hits the pavement.

I am focusing intently now on the innovative [url=https://www.6dhelmets.com/ats-1/]6D ATS-1, with dual EPS layers separated by elastomeric isolation dampers that extend deceleration time and also reduce rotational accelerations that result in the most traumatic brain injuries.

The ATS-1 is a premium helmet with a lot of features. I like the emergency release cheekpads and the cold-weather-friendly removable chin curtain and neck cuff. Plus, it comes with a Pinlock visor for fighting fogging and condensation. I have this on my Arai and it works.

The big argument over on the St forum has to do with Snell and some test in England, where some cheaper dot helmets rate better than some much more expensive snell helmets and so do some modulars
