Alprider that rx100lv takes shots that are indistinguishable from your current camera, it's very nice.
Last year i got a g7xmk2 which is the equivalent and it takes great photo's but i find that i mostly use my sx610hs, a bit less quality but it slips in and out of my pocket easy where the g7 makes it difficult with the lens protruding from the body, even with only 10mm but sharp edges it holds onto the lining of my side pocket and i find it too much work every time to get it out, just something i found out and surprised me, the zoom on the flatter sx is also more powerful. This rx100v now also has tap to focus on the screen, which is very useful especially when pulling focus in video but a fist full of dollars more, as of yet i have no dust inside the lens but i understand it does happen...... good luck with the new camera and best wishes.

has logic that you have with the sx610hs more zoom bcos the much more smaller sensor or short its 25-450mm in fullframe the g7xmk2 only 24-100mm zoomlense in fullframe.....and a smaller sensor means : much earlier more problems with noise by lowlight (high iso)....
the g7 has a 1" sensor and the sx610 1/2.3" https://www.ephotozine.com/article/senso...otos-17813 and a biger sensor has too still a biger dynamic-range https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/what-is-dynamic-range/ my slogan for pic quality : minimum 1" sensor or i can take too the mobilephone direct.....smileeè no the newest sony: mark 6 now with 24-200mm in fullframe has touchfocus, my is mark 4 with 24-70mm lens in fullframe...

and this "crop-factor" is (look up in the first link from last post)
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crop_factor or the physical/focal length of the lens is the same in this example but with a different sensorsize you get this diffrent pic-angle |
