Indian's marketing department should win the advertising equivalent of an Oscar. They have created such a presence in the media, at events, in my mail, on my smartphone...it's amazing.

The bikes aren't bad either; I rode both models for 1/2 hour up at Daytona. Not my cuppa anymore, but I can see why cruiser riders like them. I'm sure the new RoadMaster (yes, Master) will be quite successful against the HD FLHTCUI.

Always interesting to read an account from a non native about their experiences in our country. Been to all the places they mentioned. Brings back great memories.

As for Indian, saw my first one in the flesh the other day. Not my cuppa either, but the owner was thrilled with it, and that's all that matters.

A local man has a new Indian in red with the hard bags and screen. He absolutely loves it and rates it as better than the many Harleys he has owned. Not my kind of bike either but he is thrilled with it and that's all that matters.

I thought the Indian engine was...for want of a better word...unrefined. 103" in a tight vee configuration is going to be dynamic in operation to say the least. But I guess that's what the buyers want, that feel of "big-twin slugs pounding out pavement-shredding power with a soundtrack that only Thor, the God of Thunder, could hope to match."

The CB felt pretty nice after that demo.

Thanks Cormanus for the links. Glad your fellow countryman enjoyed his ride through the West. Been to nearly all the places he mentions. Zion Canyon is my favorite especially in the autumn.
