2015 MotoGP........POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!
#61
The reigning MotoGP World Champion had to run down the pit lane to retrieve his second bike with only seconds to spare as the clock ticked down on Q2. Not even this could stop the Spaniard as he went on to set the fastest ever time on two-wheels around CoTA, a 2’02.135, over sixth-tenths quicker than his previous lap record set in Qualifying last year.

Marquez finished ahead of Andrea Dovizioso (+0.339s ) on the Ducati Team GP15, and Movistar Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo (+0.405s) who completed the front row.

Lorenzo's teammate Valentino Rossi (+0.428s) will start from the front of the second row, with the Brits Cal Crutchlow (+0.478s) and Scott Redding (+0.539s) on their Factory spec Honda’s in 5th and 6th respectively.

The second factory Ducati of Andrea Iannone will start from 7th, with the Team Suzuki Ecstar of Aleix Espargaro (8th) finishing ahead of his brother Pol (Monster Tech 3 Yamaha) in 9th.

Bradley Smith, Danilo Petrucci and Maverick Viñales will form the 4th row of the grid for Sundays race.

Well this should be interesting. Big Grin Its such a beautiful day and I want to ride all day long. Soooo, I logged onto mu U-Verse account and fished around for what I believe is the instructions for how to record a program.
I think I have it set up, but I'm an old geezer and a techno-doofus!!
I've never attempted this before but I pay AT&T a lot of money every month for cable/internet/cell phone services so I figured what the heck; might as well try to get some return on my investment. Thumbs Up
If it doesn't work then I will at least have enjoyed a beautiful day of riding. Biker

Well crap. I actually did the DVR correctly but due to the weird start I didn't get to see the last half of the race. Huh
I had the recording set for only an hour......Oh well, a lesson learned.

I am at COTA. Water on track that delayed start was from tarps covering walkway bridges over track. Before race employees with poles a 2x4 lifted up tarps spilling the water on the walkway and track! I was there as they did it and could not believe it. Bad design by COTA on what is a great track.

I took pics. Will post when I get home

Great day was supposed to rain. Seemed to me a lot less people than last year. At Cheap Trick concert now

If you saw the first half you saw all the excitement. Last half was pretty by the book.. Marquez disappeared, Dovi followed him in, then Rossi. That's your podium.

Really good news I think both Suzukis were in the top 10. The Aprilia retired.

The Suzukis are doing pretty well for a first year effort. They're still in the development stage and will only get better. Good to see Ducati has found a race pace. Wonder how much longer they'll be allowed their rules advantage.

An interesting side note is that both Ducati's ran out of gas on the sighting lap. They may need to dial it down a notch. Then again COTA is a gas hungry track with its first gear corners followed by long straights.
