I used to like Marquez, but his behaviour lately has been despicable. Now I would love to see Pedrosa finally win a well deserved title in 2016!
Agreed. Pedrosa had the pace in the last few laps, but Marquez just had to engage him and let Lorenzo slip away. Had Marc behaved and not slowed up Dani, Lorenzo would have had a battle on his hands.
Rossi put on a great display but I think he could have started the race in 4th and still ended up that way.

I found this to be the most disappointing race of the season.
I blame Rossi most for making an a$$ of himself and causing his own problems that led to his loss of the championship. Marquez carries much blame also for obviously protecting the lead of Lorenzo, never really challenging for the lead as we have seen him do before. Marquez showed no real aggression until he was passed by Dani, who was obviously faster than the two up front and nearly collided with his team mate. It's too bad that Dani had the arm pump problems earlier as he might otherwise be world champ.
The only exciting part of this race was Rossi's charge to fourth. As for some riders allowing him through, maybe so, but hardly any worse than Marquez's actions at the front.
Dani is the real class act here. I truly hope he can be world champ next year.

my opinion...the fact is if Rossi had not pulled the block on Marquez in Sepang he would be WC today. Period. He has no one to blame but himself. He lost his cool and lost the championship. I was yelling at the TV when he went out and challenged Marquez. Doesn't matter what someone else does on the course, only matters that you ride your race and try and win. I was rooting for him all year to get his 10th, and he tossed it away in a fit of frustration.
Conspiracy theorists are going to taint Jlo's championship with just the accusations that you guys have made, when in reality JLO won more races than Rossi, won more poles, set most fastest laps and was in fact clearly the fastest rider this year. He truly deserved to be champion. he does need to learn how to be a bit more humble, and interact with the press and fans better. Marquez said before the race he would not interfere with Lorenzo unless there was a clear opening for a pass. Judging from lap times there was no way Marquez was faster than Jlo today, and Pedrosa was only faster in the last couple laps because he saved his tires.
Loved this season up until Sepang. Hated the last couple races. Looking forward to next year.
Now I would love to see Pedrosa win a well deserved premier class title in 2016 as well. I have been rooting for him for 10 years now. Be nice if he'd make all the crap I have taken for rooting for him since 2006 worthwhile.

Ferret, I am not sure I get your point. First of all, being last on the grid or fourth on the grid today Rossi did not have the speed to get second. So, at the end of the day, the stunt in Malaysia did not really change anything from that perspective. In fact, chances are that without the stunt Rossi would have been only fourth in Malaysia which would have meant he had to win today.
For me there is no conspiracy, and I am not holding anything against Lorenzo. All I am saying is Marquez did not apply the same aggressive style against Lorenzo today as he has done earlier against Rossi. If he would have done this today, I believe that there is a good chance Lorenzo would have been third. It is hard to dispute that Marquez held back today.

We will never know how well Rossi could have ridden today if he had started first or second row. He had to burn up his tires coming from back to 4th and then his lap times slowed down considerably. Rossi has beaten Jlo before 4 times this season, correct? He has beaten Jlo, Marquez, and Pedrosa. The man has fits of brilliance on a motorcycle. I never count him out. Jlo has beaten Rossi, Marquez and Pedrosa what 6 times or is it 7? Marquez has beaten Rossi, Jlo and Pedrosa what 5 times? Pedrosa has beaten Rossi, Jlo and Marquez twice. On any given day and one of these guys is capable of winning. Rossi might have won today if.......

Watched the "show" - and enjoyed it! Wasn't too emotional about it though. Professional sport has failed to ignite a lot of passion in me for many years now. The participants act the way humans too often do when fame and fortune is dangled before them. And it's not pretty.
So, you watch the fantastic feats these guys can put out there and sometimes see some encouraging acts of genuine sportsmanship that push aside the media business circus for a moment. Marquez and Rossi had what appeared to be a respectful rivalry for a couple years but that went away when VR had a shot his 10th. That consumed everything else.

On the plus side, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Marquez sliding like crazy! Two wheel drift like that on a MotoGP bike, lap after lap...wow!
