That's the Dan Ryan Expressway. Crazy-busy there all the time. She was very lucky that day.
Speaking of trucks...when my wife went down, there was a box truck behind her. The driver moved his truck into a position which protected her from other vehicles as she laid in the street waiting for the paramedics. He didn't have to do that and I don't think he knows how comforting and calming it was to Cheryl to have his truck there. There are good people out there; sometimes the not-so-good ones are just more noticeable.

Great move, Mr Trucker! A broken down motorcycle in the middle lanes of a busy freeway is a recipe for disaster.

Kudos to him ! Being broke down in the right hand lane with no shoulder would be super stressful as well. Hope she got off okay.

Ever notice how many cagers wave to us when we are riding?
I always wave to other bikes and acknowledge all waves from cages, and tractors. MTC, hope all is good with your wife. Let me know if y'all make it to the BRP this fall. |
