Bikes never or rarely seen

I have yet to see anything like this around here. I can't imagine they could even be ridden safely. How do you take them around curves? Are they popular in the midwest or something?

Well 310 million persons in USA. Estimate 300 CB1100 Dlx models imported. So one in a million! Not going to see on the road often.

Slightly over 60 million persons live in Germany.
A little over 1.000 CB may be sold.
Ergo there should be a better chance to meet
another CB than in the USA. But I found out
that it isn't. Or most owners keep them in their
garage or wherever and don't drive that much.

Things I see everywhere here:

Ducati -- all
Yamaha FZ07,FZ09 R1 R6
Honda -- not many, lots of 600RR, VFR, Wing, rarely see a Blade.
Suzuki -- GSXR, SV650
Triumph -- All their new classics, lots of stripples and 675r.
Harley -- All
BMW -- All

Stuff you never see:
Victory -- All
Indian (I've never seen one here that wasn't at an MC show, and we have 2 dealers)
Guzzi -- outside of the V7
Triumph Tigers
Yamaha MT10
'Busas

Those are all the ones that stand out... We have a lot of superficial riders here, so anything that is the 'must have' or goes out the door with zero percent financing (or both) will be everywhere (even more so if it has Ohlins and Brembos). Our bike nights probably housed half the Canadian allotment of white Ducati 899 and 959 when they first came out.

Nothing terribly rare in the DC area. We have a bit of everything around here. As everywhere else, Harleys are number one, then BMWs of all stripes. I've seen three other CB 1100s "wild," though I've ridden with EarsOnWheels several times so I suppose that counts' too.

One that we have a lot of is the KLR 650. But I had two of them so maybe I am more apt to notice them.

We have a ton of sport bikes buzzing around; all makes and models. They often run in packs of 20-50 on the weekends. I hear their popularity has waned, but you wouldn't know it for what you see in the DC area. I think it is the price to power ratio. Young guys and girls can afford them and they go very fast. We lost another one in Chantilly on Friday, weaving through traffic and passing on the shoulder. A broken down car on the right shoulder ended it for him.

Triketec V2 Roadster - German Built
had one today on a ride and it has a Mercedes 3 Cly Turbo engine , was so quiet i could hardly hear it. --- check out the brake disc !!!!
BTW I used my CB750 in the background to win the $50 slow race but used the CB1100 on the ride.
had one new Indian , a Triumph 3 cly tiger adventure bike , one Triumph new model standard plus one Yamaha 1100 cruiser a bunch of Harley's and my Honda's

Here in L.A. I see just about everything. I've spotted a handful of CB1100s and one of them belongs to one of my riding buddies who is a member of this forum. I see fully geared sport bike guys and squids galore. Plenty of Harley and metric cruiser types. Plenty of Bonnies.
