Oh...and I should add that my wife rides a Triumph and waves at all bikes. She even to me sometimes -- although sometimes it's a wave of the one-finger variety

Should I be offended or laugh?

Since I don't feel the need to go 90 on my way to work, most of my waving is done with two fingers on my right hand as the rest of my hand is on the throttle, while another rider zips past at about 20mph faster than me.
And can you imagine how painful it must have been for that girl sawing her arm? She must have held that pose, half-way-through, for days while the guy was painting.

Here in the UK hardly any rider waves, the nod of the head is more the normal or the lifting of the foot for sports bike riders.
I nod at most 2 wheelers even scooters but on a busy day it can cause neck pain so if there's a few bikes coming towards me I only nod at the first and last. I have noticed this year a few don't nod for some reason.

![]() I’ve started pointing at the other motorcyclist as if saying “You”. Had a guy do it once to me and I thought it was unique. It left a better impression than just a wave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m going to try pointing. It seems like more fun. Thanks

This is actually puzzling. I've never heard of triumph riders to be stuck up on the basis of brand. Triumph spent decades in the doghouse of motorcycle brands before turning it around in the early millennium and translating that success into a full blown rennaissance today. It seems strange to think of triumph riders as brand elitists.

I have owned both, just more Hondas. The only riders that wave back less than most, are the Harley riders. Some do, do not get me wrong, but I have been riding for a while and I have seen on more than one occasion, a Harley rider look at your brand and then not wave back. Sad, I was on a bike before most of them were born.

I "wave" with the four fingers on my left side , still have the rest of my hand on the clutch handle bar . Ver safe way of saying "HI "
