Nice! I didn't hear much wrong with the advise given. I loved the old cars and empty roads. And those smoky exhausts!

It was pretty good advice except that I don’t think it’s true that bikes can actually stop quicker than cars.

Probably more so back then. I don't think disc brake technology was adapted as quickly for autos as it was for bikes. I could be wrong though.

Yea its definitely not true by and large, though there are some incredibly advanced ABS systems going into higher end BMW bikes and other top end Superbikes that can definitely out-brake the average car, even in the wet, generally a bike is going to have pathetic braking performance compared to a car. Thats one of the advantages of those can-am doodads. Superior braking.

Would that also apply to the Yamaha Niken (apart from the increased cornering grip)? They never used better braking as an advantage in their presentation of the Niken.

Not sure....better grip should equal better braking but the contact patch on a Niken is still a fraction of a can-am.
