Bike Bandit is Kaput

Yeah, me too. I hope Revzilla stays alive... I have parts on order! I just wish they or Partzilla did Triumph OEM stuff. Heaven forbid I actually go to a dealer for something. The local dealer is very nice, but I don't get the idea that their parts and service department is very adept. When I was adjusting valves on the Bonneville a few years ago and needed shims, I called to see if they could swap a few sizes with me. They asked what a shim was. In fact, I think that set of shims was the last thing I ordered from BikeBandit...

Sadly, this issue might be self-fulfilling.

That is, Service & Parts doesn't have the goods or the expertise, riders take it on their own (as far as they are capable) to acquire the parts and do the work themselves. Over time, talent gets laid off or they simply change careers. So the next time you really, really need Service/Parts assistance from your local merchants, the intelligence has long been lost and the garage technician is overwhelmed with routine work order jobs beaver'ing away in the back for sub-standard wage.

I think it was on this site that heard problems with them, gosh, a couple years ago. So I stopped using them. Revzilla or Babbitt's instead.

Honda parts seem to be ordered from Honda so it takes weeks to months to get parts - but they show up (seems real long delays are due to the world wide shortages).

But there needs to be a way to shut websites down ASAP when companies die. This never should have been allowed to continue.

Revzilla has become my go-to for OEM parts, but they’ve been slipping lately on quality. Ordered a few bits for the 300, including a new handlebar. The parts arrived within a few weeks, as expected. Everything was very sloppily packed. The handlebar had poked through the box and was banged up, and it bounced around in the box, damaging some of the other bits. After sending some pics of the damage, it took three calls to get someone to actually help.

The first call was “I’ll review your photos and get right back”. The second was “I’ll get back to you by the end of the day”. The third, a few days later, was someone who apologized for the hassle, and arranged a return for the damaged parts and a replacement order. He also said he’d credit my account with ten of their “zilla bucks” but I’m not seeing it in my account info.

The box the parts arrived in was labeled with all of the conglomerate companies Revzilla is part of, so maybe they’re more of a faceless bank-owned entity now.

I just ordered parts for our company pit scooters from Partzilla. If they arrive well packed with no issues, they’ll be my new go-to.

In most cases, Revzilla doesn’t actually stock the items they sell — they simply have their distributors drop-ship the items to you.

My stuff showed up in a "Comoto" box, filled with Revzilla material. That's the company that now owns them and Cycle Gear, and JP Cycle.

I needed to order some additional bits to complete a project on the 300. Don't really want to have more hassles with Revzilla, but the last guy did promise me a ten dollar account credit for the hassles on my last order. Put the items in the shopping cart, looked for a magic discount of ten dollars like the guy promised, but didn't see anything. Called their customer service, waited 'till I got someone, and explained that the last guy promised to credit ten bucks to my account. She put me on hold, came back and said "Well, I don't see any notes in your file saying you're supposed to get ten dollars." I raised a little stink, and she gave me a ten dollar discount for my order.

Never had these problems with them before, and this will be my last order unless I'm absolutely stuck with no other options.

Ok, this is interesting... Just clearing out my junk emails last night, and saw a "Coming soon to your neighborhood" email from Revzilla. They are opening a showroom a few miles from my office in Costa Mesa. Since they are part of the CycleGear conglomerate, it will be interesting to see how much different this place will be from a CycleGear store.

That's the modern world for you. Everyone is listening... maybe they thought "Oh no, this guy posted on a forum that he is going to send his business somewhere else - quick, open up a shiny new store in his neighborhood!"
