Winters are long and lonesome in Canada !

Yes, yes, it is a Canadian winter sickness
. But the Forum has some rich history and interesting perspectives about and not about the CB1100. The mountain is pretty tall, however, I will admit, I am growing weary and I suspect I will be cured soon.I also have a pair of RLETs that are haunting me, but so far I have managed to ignore them. It is not even clear if my "lawyer" can help with that, even though his past efforts have been valiant.

This is the way I look at it and have since before I picked up my new 2013 which came home from the shop with Rlets.
There are certain things which identify the CB's for me. Indisputable things that came on the very first one. An inline 4 cylinder air cooled motor. A disc front brake. A bench seat. Metal chrome fenders front and rear. An electric starter... And Rlets. They were on the very first CB and they were on many CB's for years. Every one that rolled out of Japan. If Soichiro (while he was still in charge and running things as a true motorcycle enthusiast) hadn't considered them worthwhile he wouldn't have put them on so many of his motorcycles. To me, (and this is just a personal opinion) a CB isn't a true CB Honda without those little lever end covers. Just my opinion of course.

I feel the CB passion you share Ferret. I think sharing the energy is important because ...
... now you've done it. One of them escaped out of the package! Jeez. It's gonna pick-up lint off the basement floor. Uh, oh ... the cat ...

Meh, I never grew up with those bikes (LONG before I was born) - so to me they’re just ugly little things that mess up those pretty silver bars.
Nostalgia is a heck of a drug?
