February ride logged.

Took a short 20 mile ride. Stopped at the the Park District building where I will be serving a 4 year term as a Park Board Commissioner starting in April. Also stopped along one of the roads I usually ride to work which is flooded out and frozen over.

Lol. Yes, I know. For perspective, but not great perspective, this pic was taken sometime last year when the Des Plaines River was not flooding the roadway. If you look closely at the first picture, you can see the road signs shown in this one.

Saturday’s ride was completely sane compared to my contemplation of riding two weeks ago when the temp was -23f. Only the slick roads (with a minor threat of divorce) kept my bike in the garage that day. A sunny day with dry roads and an opportunity to complete my 60th consecutive riding month? Totally sane. (I think?)
