Well I just found this forum the other day, shortly after having received my all new CB1100EX. I thought I would share a couple of photos as I understand that models are a little bit different depending on the market.

Here in Switzerland we have for 2014 like in the US a standard version which is only available in black. Mine however is an EX model which corresponds to your DLX. However, I understand you only get the DLX in red, whereas here we also get it in white or black. So, mine is the black model:

Henrik,

That is my favorite CB1100 yet. The black with an all bare aluminum engine/6-speed would be enough to get me to start all over again with modding a new bike. Beautiful.

Sweet bike, Henrik! Congratulations.

I wish we got the wire wheels here in the USA.

I have a 2014 CB1100 Deluxe on order and hope to have it parked in my garage soon.

I thought you got the wire wheels on the Deluxe model in the US. Certainly for me the wire wheels, new seat and dual exhaust made it a no-brainer! The thing about the bike though is that it looks so much better in real life. I always think the pictures makes it look a bit on the heavy side.

Having not been able to ride it much yet, the only thing I am wondering about is the rear tire. I have been riding sports bikes and roadsters with 180 or 190 tires for a long time, and I noticed that just after one ride up my local mountain the 150 on the Honda is completely scrubbed edge to edge and I was not pushing it at all. Mind you, it never felt like it was lacking grip either though so it should be okay.

Chip,

For me it is perfect as it is. I can't really think of any mods I would want to do to the bike!

It will lean over for you. The narrower tire makes it feel more nimble than a wider tire would.

Nice Henrik... Love the black with the silver motor.

You have to laugh that Switzerland gets 3 color choices and we here in the U.S. only get one

Are we being punished for buying too many cruisers? Lol

Beautiful bike, Henrik. And yes, the Swiss bike market is likely 1/100th the size of the US, and they get a cornucopia of colors. Makes little sense.

Nice Henrik, yes you get the spoke wheels and more color choices, but we get polished engine covers and more glitz on the handlebars. The best part of all is that if we pick up a nail in a tire, we maybe can plug it on the road and ride it home!Biker

Could be that the US market is much bigger than the Swiss one, but then again I suppose we subsidise yours. The bike here goes for USD 16'500, so you could say we might be entitled to more colour options. That said, I think all of Europe gets the same bikes as Switzerland, so in the end the market is still not insignificant.

Actually Honda Switzerland are the ones that produced this beautiful limited edition CB1100 to celebrate 40 years of Honda here:

Sorry, I made a typo before. We also have a 140.
