As promised:

I got my K&H Solo seat in yesterday. I was a little annoyed when I checked the tracking and saw a missed delivery attempt just after lunch. My mail doesn't usually get delivered until after 4 and my wife is usually home. Well, we have an awesome mail lady who brought it back by at around 4, so I didn't have to drive down to the post office and get it.

I am absolutely blown away by the quality and craftsmanship. They aren't cheap, but you can take advantage of the weak yen right now. Takashi says this is only 3 mm taller than the stock North American market saddle, but it feels a little higher which is fine for me at 6'1". It doesn't make me scoot forward into the tank and my knees are more relaxed. I specified firmer foam for my 200 ish lbs. The tuck and roll makes the top a little more cushioned, but it is still nicely firm. I am liking it so far.

First thing I did was make my own license plate bracket:
[url=http://s960.photobucket.com/user/Pflugerville_Bike_Guy/media/20140720_194530_zps1adb9c1e.jpg.html][Image: feb9fbf15cc31e9207a485db340eb46d.jpg]

Then, I tried some adhesive rubber tank knee pads. I ended up not liking how they looked. This is just too pretty of a tank to have those. I may try some magnetic pads that I can remove when I don't want them on:
[url=http://s960.photobucket.com/user/Pflugerville_Bike_Guy/media/20140727_095631_zps0bb7f8c5.jpg.html][Image: 6b13e3ef98d01c70c115779bac04a79c.jpg]

I love the naked looks, but no wind protection was killing the enjoyment of riding at highway speeds. The Dart Flyscreen did the trick:
[url=http://s960.photobucket.com/user/Pflugerville_Bike_Guy/media/20140801_065203_zps6aaf80d2.jpg.html][Image: 64c242a42e088e4a60bae61d6d605ef9.jpg]

With the small screen on, I wanted to tuck in just a bit lower. Also, I felt the tall bars and mirror were a little awkward aesthetically. So, I got a set of Type 2 bars and some lower profile mirrors (Bikemasters):
[url=http://s960.photobucket.com/user/Pflugerville_Bike_Guy/media/20141007_181824_zpsf04035a2.jpg.html][Image: 62a634ef50437f3cfef1d3c4eb9234cc.jpg]

I needed to carry some stuff and settled upon a single left side saddlebag. I found one on japan.webike.net which had a relief for a blinker and ordered it along with an Agras fork brace. I also tried some different mirrors since the ones I bought were too narrow. The new mirrors are Bikemaster Old School Tube mirrors:

My K&H seat I ordered at the end of November should be here before Christmas. I am quite anxious to receive it and will post pics. I also will have some Chic Designs hand guards and Moriwaki skid pads on the way shortly.

Hey, those are my mirrors! You can't have those. Big Grin

Nice, aren't they? I really like mine, on my lower bars.

I really like the 'Smell the Glove' rear fender extender.

I received my Chic Design smoked handguards and Moriwaki skid pads the other day. I felt the sliders blended in a bit better than the various engine guards made for these. Basic tip over protection was all I was going for.

The hand guards really look neat. They match my Dart screen pretty well. They knock a good amount of wind blast off my hands so that I can wear my medium weight gloves with liners. Before, my hands were numb within 15 minutes at 50 degrees. The first test showed promising results for wind protection. It was in the upper 40's the other night. Wish my camera did a better job showing the colors in the sky.

I just picked up my new '14 cb black std. Your bike looks great. I like really the saddle bag. I believe I found it on the web site - Is it a "Degner"? for $218? I would like to get the same one. Here is another question - what saddlebag support(brace) do you have on yours?
thanks

That is the Degner bag as you have found on webike. Also grom webike is the saddlebag support:

http://japan.webike.net/products/9693664.html

Wow, I realized how long it's been since I updated this thread. I have a different windscreen and exhaust on the bike.
