tried your image on Firefox, Chrome and Safari and no problems at all. The code in your post looks fine too. I can't connecting to the forum with my iPad using Safari, Chrome or Tapatalk and so can't reproduce the problem there. Seems to work OK on my phone.

I used postimg.org for my trip to Texas and it worked OK, although it was not as easy to use as Photobucket insofar as I had to keep adding the IMG tags.

Edit: got to it on both browsers and Tapatalk on the iPad and it did everything properly.

When I looked at nvbobr's post on wildflowers in Death Valley ([url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3268&pid=124361#pid124361]here), the Photobucket links worked first go. They also worked in Firefox but not in Safari. Not sure the problem is fixed.

Cormanus, thanks for the redirect (link, I should say) to my other pictures. I doubt that photobucket will let us routinely avoid the redirect to their "s" files with all the sideboard propaganda, but the attempt is worthwhile, especially considering the teaser "i" files in higher resolution that some folks can access with Chrome, and maybe with other browsers(?). I still get those after two or three tries, clicking on the forum photos. Also, learning how to clean up image codes for posting has been educational. I go into "reply" often to see how other members have used codes. When in doubt, I open a completely new tab and paste my intended image location in the address bar, then hit enter to see if the desired result pops up. If so, I paste the code into my post, bracketed by IMG and /IMG. I know that sort of duplicates the "Preview Post" button, but I don't care.

I am seeking clarification, but it looks to me like there's no longer a way of getting your browser easily to display the full-size image. That's a great pity. If so, Photobucket should stop teasing us with the pretense that it's available.

By the way, changing the link-back option didn't seem to make any difference; nor is the explanation at all clear.

Looks like that's it unless you use nvbobr's trick with Chrome.

But ...

If you're presented with the image in the standard Photobucket page, you can click on the magnifying glass icon at the top right of the image and you will see a larger version of the image which it looks like you can then download if you really want to see it without all the Photobucket gumf. To do that, right click on the image and choose <Save image as ...>.

In both Chrome and Firefox (but not Safari) I've also been able to right click and select <Copy image address>. Pasting that into the address bar has yielded the image on it's own.

I guess this is only an issue for people who want to look at larger images without Photobucket's advertising.
