One of the instructors at the MSF school where I re-upped my license is having issues with a second hand Victory bike he got a few months ago and expressed some interest in my CB1100 (I was on the XR650L when I stopped by to chat) so I went home and swapped bikes and let him ride the CB a bit.

He really liked it. It has been on his radar and the "test" ride pretty much confirmed his gut feeling about the bike. Now he has to get the Vctory running so he can sell or trade.

Luckily his wife seems to be on board with the swap (she is an instructor too).

I'd say you are a good boy for doing your friend a favor and introducing him to a great ride...his wife may see it differently however lol

He was quite concerned about his wife but I was talking with her while he was riding and she was all for it. I think he'll be easier to live with if he gets a reliable turn key bike.

He loves the sound of a good four cylinder motor; likes the quiet stock can and the very good ergo's. If he can quickly get the Victory sorted I think he'll pull the trigger on one.

If we can see folks on these one rider at a time (frankly there are a LOT of good bikes out there to choose from), especially to an instructor where the bike will be exposed to a ton of new riders and riders getting back into motorcycles we may just see this model imported for more than two years.

Atta boy!!

I've got an older buddy who owns two Triumph Bonnevilles. He loves the looks of my CB11, so I made him ride it. That didn't help his dilemma.

He laments that he'd love to have one, but he prefers black. He's the reason I'm hoping the 2014 model arrives here in black.

His wife has a Bonnie and he was looking at the Thruxton. I think a 650 Vstrom would be a better choice over the Bonnie. But it turns out he loves in line fours.

I've ridden a Bonnie, while the ergo's and flat seat was nice, the motor was very hoo-hum. I bought the Griso instead. That motor is NOT hoo-hum (it's not a 1400 Concours either).

In any event; we could use a few more CB riders here in Phoenix.
