Bob, sorry about the dogs; but thanks for the report and the photos. The Mojave Desert reminds me of some of the places I rode recently with Pterodactyl all of which confirmed my experience of the CB as an excellent touring platform.

Thanks, for the trip write up and the photos.

Have heard of a bank account being the foundation for international travel before, I however do not find myself being required to indulge in such. Life on a large island!

Looking forward to reading next years installment.

Regards

I reckon it's a great idea. I could say, 'Just have to go for a ride in Switzerland and Europe, dear. Got to check on the numbered account.'

Great report and photos. Tell me more about your cooling vest. How often did you have to feed it and do you (or your clothes) wind up wet for the ride?

Sea, I wear it over a long sleeve polyester shirt that's very light weight and under a mesh jacket. I also use a silk scarf. It takes about a third of a gallon of water in a gallon size zip lock bag which I carry in a vest pocket to soak the vest and scarf, with some water left over to pour on my sleeves. I know the amount from when I carried a couple of milk jugs of water--which usually isn't needed with water sources along the way. I actually feel cold for half an hour in high 90s temps BUT--here's the big caveat; you probably need to be in the interior West for the dry air to effectively evaporate the water in your vest. I start out with wet clothes which is part of the point. I might be just slightly damp after 2 hours of not recharging the vest but I assume that means I'm still getting some cooling effect.

Make that 4 CB1100's. I live in SE Idaho and much of that area is local to me.
