Good Pictures Ferret.. I see a red cord from clutch lever to the side stand which I guess is more of a safety reminder for the rider.. can you throw some more light and share your safety precaution?

In certain parking situations (surface drops away on left of bike) I put a block of wood under the side stand so it doesn't lean over so far. Makes it easier for me to get off the side stand. The cord loop which I put between grip and bar end reminds me the wood is there, so I straighten up the bike, grab the cord, reel in the block of wood, wrap up the cord and stow it in my tank bag. If I'd have parked facing the other direction the block would not have been necessary.

I have one for the ST too.

Part of the problem is I am small. At 5'6" with a 26 ish inseam I have to be ultra careful about parking motorcycles. Lifting them off the side stand is ok on level ground, but on sloped ground, if I have to park with the stand on a downhill slope, I can barely get them upright, especially the ST, and especially if my wife is riding pillion. Of course if I can park with the side stand on the uphill side it's a piece of cake lol.

When I pull into a parking lot I really have to look at the grade to decide how where to park. Don't get me started on having to back one up lol.

I was lucky when I owned my Goldwing Aspencade. Both my wife and I are tall. At that time she only weighed about 100 pounds. So I could sit on the bike, push it off the center stand, and hold the front brake while she used the rear footpeg and my shoulder to slip in her cushy sofa.

Backing up on a parking lot slope with a heavy bike is another story. My foot slipped on some sand in a parking lot after Penny had mounted the Wing. I was able to slowly set the bike down, and Penny was nimble enough to slip off the seat before the bike touched down.

Fortunately the Aspencade came engine crash guards, so there was no damage done. They also keep the bike from laying flat. That and the low center of gravity of the Wing made it easy to push it back up on its wheels.

Hello use2b!

It was mentioned in another thread that you may be running Avon Roadriders on your CB1100. They are the only properly fitting replacement tires I can find for my 2017 CB1100 EX. If you are running them, can I assume they can be used with tubes?
