I don't know if anyone noticed that I've been missing for a couple of weeks.
Hurricane Dorian hit us pretty hard, knocked out power to half the province and did a lot of tree damage.
I made it through with no damage but was without power for several days. On top of that my PC started to act up and was on the verge of crashing. It's still in the shop.
I have wifi and borrowed an old iPad so I do have Internet access now.
I'll try to catch up on the forum but this small device is a bit of a pain, LL!

Not hard to imagine no internet access for sure. But that was a long time indeed. Glad Rocky you are in (or into the?) spirit.
But the CB?

No damage of any kind to my property and possessions. Many were not so lucky.

I just read the weather thread with reports of great weather in Canada. I thought, ‘Gee, Rocky was squaring up to a mighty storm recently and we’ve not heard from him since.’ I was just heading to search to see whether you’d been on line and there was this new thread.
I’m pleased to hear you’re OK with no damage, but sorry to hear others have suffered. Good to have you back.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the kind words.
Hurricanes rarely make it this far north and are usually just a modest wind storm. Not so this time.
In 2003 hurricane Juan hit us as a cat 2 and did much more damage. I was without power for over a week that time.
If we don't get another one for 15-16 years it will be too soon for me

Welcome back Rocky! Glad to hear that you made out ok, but being without electricity is no fun either (food spoilage, etc).
