Now that thread title caught my eye! I spent the first 25 years of my life in Newfoundland, born in St. John's. I still have family there and try to visit annually.

The west coast is indeed beautiful. Also recommended is visiting some areas on the south coast, to get a sense of real outport living. Route 360 will take you down to Bay D'Espoir, Harbor Breton, Belleoram, etc. Truly beautiful (and to me, peaceful) scenery.

But beware the weather. More often than not the weather is pretty crappy in Newfoundland, often windy and rainy.

Man, you're giving me the itch to go to Newfoundland for a bike ride. I think I'd die if I attempted it on the CB (struggling with wind blast), but on a new Wing? Hmmmm.
