RE: The Coronavirus Chronicles -Three Strikes You're Out

I took my 2014 out today as it was his/her (?) time for a ride , every time I go out I take a different bike and write down the date.
BRP still closed in some sections. Our German friends might know if a motorcycle is male or female .

The French would say it's female, 'La moto'.

la moto is in german : neutrum....(das motorrad) ....but often we say her bcos we are thinking/ say the engine (for a bike) and engine is in german female.....
and if we say: i took " it " out so we mean : das motorrad

We say "die Honda CB1100, Suzuki Bandit etc.", if we mean a specific one like the one we own and use the female article. Alprider explained why. Generally a motorbike isn't male or female in German. Just a motorbike, a thing, "das Motorrad".

Riding as often as I like here in Texas. We are in lock down but are sensible about it.

I read through I think page 13 then accidentally hit page 28 or so... but I think I get the jist of this thread. First, I agree with Ferret from back in the beginning when he mentioned that he was just as safe riding as driving and didn’t want to take up a hospital bed regardless. I went to Georgia (from Florida) this weekend and back. 1000 miles back and forth in a car. It was the least amount of traffic I’ve seen in years. There were a lot of trucks. Up north of Atlanta where my house and 3 of my bikes are kept, I went on 2 rides. Took the Harley to the dealer in Roswell (which was open for sales and service) and noticed a fair amount of people on the road. I also took out my old Kawasaki for a quick 10 mile or so ride around part of Lake Lanier... did not see a lot of traffic. The weekend before I took my CB out for a ride here near St Pete, Fl and there was hardly any traffic at all. So, little to moderate traffic and no accidents. I didn’t cause one either. The only thing we witnessed was a tornado coming across the interstate south of Ocala which caused a fair amount of damage, and backed up traffic while they removed debris from the highway. We were stuck in it for at least an hour. My point in all of this is... we got out, went to our other home and enjoyed a change of scenery which was great for our health. We saw no one up close, the rest areas were empty, and we bought food from a drive through. And the gas stations we used were relatively empty too. So we can stay home, never go out, and lock ourselves up with our Netflix, iPad, and beer. Or we can at least be smart about what we are doing, be cognizant of others, and stay somewhat same at the same time. I hope my rambling makes sense and forgive me if I missed a change perhaps in the second half of this particular post. We can’t do this forever folks... and let’s not even talk about the economic misery it’s causing to so many.

Called auto insurance and got one car discounted due to no driving to work, now pleasure only...will have to call back when work resumes...looks like C$50 monthly discount??? Better something than nothing.
