Staying in would drive me up to the WALL , going for a bike ride this Saturday and Sunday , keeping my mind sane is part of my overall health.

Got in my 70 miles today. Worried about finding a restroom....lucky to live in a area where you find a spot you can see a mile in every direction ;-)

Cormanus it's strange how we never think about your season being opposite ours.

Google shows: Winter 2020 in Australia will begin on

Monday, June 1

and ends on

Monday, August 31

Just covered my bike again, after only 2 days ridden some 2 weeks ago.
Unlike Australia, winter is leaving for good and the only obstacle I can see is the coronaVUndecided
Well, all members think positive and we will prevail Smile

Yes. We're into autumn (fall) now which is providing a little respite from what has been an occasionally very hot summer.

Got in 50 miles this afternoon and it did a lot to alleviate the stress of being couped up all week. More traffic than I was expecting and a fair amount of bikes.

As of yesterday I’m now furloughed from both of my jobs. So, only essential spending and deferral of as many bills as possible. I reminded my wife that my CB gets better fuel mileage than either of our cars. She agreed, so that’s a plus. I can ride to forage for our basic supplies and to go steal toilet paper from my vacant office.

My annual registration is due. They are suspending issuing violations for expired tags, so I’m thinking of paying the minimal non operational fee and paying the full registration when I am back to work.

Sorry to hear this; I hope things turn around for us so that people don't suffer too greatly.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if all money exchange just stopped for one month--if we couldn't just freeze everything--no bills, no fees, no cost basic groceries, no interest, and yes...no salaries, nada, nothing, nobody pays, nobody collects...no rents, no mortage payments due, but neither do banks pay customers interest, no money movement for a month. I wonder if that wouldn't save jobs and peoples' livlihoods.

I know, I know pipe-dream, it would never work 'cause people would take advantage, how would you control how much they would buy, what about people who have to work vs. those who are ordered to stay home, but this, but that, etc... etc. etc.

I'm not saying it's what we should and can do, just dreamin' if it couldn't work....wishing, hoping people don't lose their jobs. It could take the worry away for 30 days. I'll bet things wouldn't crash. It might help people relax a bit.

Somebody stole the toilet paper out of my mom's shopping cart yesterday before she could get to the register. That's all I need to know about how society would react to a proposal like that.

That's pretty sad. isn't your mom 80? Someone stole an 80 year old lady's tp? If she were close I'd take her a pack.

Thanks, Ferret. Yes, she is turning 80 this month. She downplayed the episode, saying she had plenty of TP, but was worried that we might need some, and wanted to give it to me the next time I came by. She was actually more upset that the Costco wasn't stocking the large bags of bird seed for her feeders yet. Still, it really got my goat, makes it hard not to think that this is bringing out the worst in some people.
