I'm using my phone for GPS capabilities so had to run a powerline off the trickle charger quick disconnect junction. Plugged a USB receptical on it and then plugged a phone charger cord into that and ran it under the tank cover forward to the RAM Phone holder. That also gives me a port at the back end to plug the JBL Blue Tooth speaker into should I need to charge it. Doubt that it will need it since it has a 12 hour battery life. I will be running headphones for part of the trip through the flat straight stretch of Idaho.

Heading into Gibbonsville, Idaho on Thursday for the 18th Annual Broken Arrow Resort Guzzi Gathering. Small group of guys probably of the same demographic as CB owners...maybe average age is a little older...hanging out for a couple of days. Been trying to get there for several years. Could never pull it off. Have a V7R 750 Guzzi and always planned to trailer. Sold the trailer and storage space on bike is at a premium. Could I MAKE it do it? Yes, but it would be painful. So riding the King for a contrast to the CB from previous years.

Friday late AM heading over to Pioneer Mt's to get a campsite. Unload, set-up camp/tent and then heading out to fly-fish the area streams from the bike.

Saturday getting up EARLY and heading east/south east via Dillon, Montana to get gas and then making it up as I go for the rest of the day and possibly Sunday. Kinda like Bronson (LoL....if any of you even remember him).

Bike fully loaded: Mostly freeze dried food/cooking gear/pillow all in the top box. Heavy stuff/water/extra clothes/shoes/speaker etc etc. in panniers. Orange dry bag has tent and sleeping bag. Soft cooler on dry bag. Lots of room. I fly fish/backpack in the high country so I have some high end gear which packs down small and light.

Adjusted the air shocks up a little from 8 pounds to 11 to compensate for additional baggage.

USB quick disconnect for phone and speaker.

I have the original windshield which I took off. The height was prefect for a calm, quiet ride behind it. The edge however was right in my line of sight and I didn't like it. Bought a new slightly tinted one 4 inches shorter. that one put off some type of harmonic from the top edge and it was basically a fast WOOP-WOP-WOOP. I believe it's caused by just a hint of flex/vibration at speed. Ended up with the shorter dark tinted shield. Keeps helmet in a clean airstream but still takes pressure off my chest allowing me to comfortably grasp the handlebars without fighting the wind.

all set....
Bflint...those pics were loaded when I used Photobucket.....then Photobucket changed the rules of the relationship and tried to hold its users for ransom....long story to it...Now using a different platform.

I think you can click on them and the overlay may delete..it does it when I do it...

Have a great ride!

If you’ve not been, next time you’re up in MT, look for US 83 to the east of Bigfork. It runs south through the Bob Marshall Wilderness. The little town of Seeley Lake, along the way, has everything you need. Very scenic and a great motorcycling road, especially if you’d like to avoid US 93.
