In reality, as riding season here is when it's winter practically everywhere else in the Northern hemisphere, one could ship the bike by sea in November, fly over a month later and do a 10-15 tour of UAE and Oman, and then ship the bike back to their respective country in time for the riding season. All it takes is time an money, so for those who have enough to spare it's definitely feasible. Those who have even more time and money could take the ferry over to Iran and ride north to the Caspian and mess around Azerbaijan and Georgia, even Turkey, those are some really nice countries for riding. And before you even think about it, I'll tell you - it is safe. Contrary to what media may make you believe, these are countries with some of the most hospitable people you'll ever have a chance to meet, and as far as the bureaucracy goes, as long as your papers are in order and you have an ounce of patience you'll do just fine.

Thank you, that helps. I will look for your link. Also, thanks for the comments about the Road Comet as I noticed that Samurider does not mention one for the '13, only '14 and up. I will talk to them, but it might still be worth getting, since I may have to modify it some anyway. I also live in a very hot place where we get things done before the sun gets too high.
