Sorry to read of your accident, but glad you are ok for the most part. I wish you well with rehab and the dealing with the insurance aftermath.

better your news..... wish you all the best for your healing ......as this...got it this week too from a bikerwoman colleague about her boyfriend, his age around 60 i think
(no warranty about work from the online translater) On the 23rd of May our life turned unexpectedly on the left. André was on the way to a sausage in Trimbach cleared by a car on his lane frontal. Between then and today there are a total of 11 operations and at least 2 are still following. Open thigh break. Complete dislocation of the ankle. 6 rib fractures. Forearm fracture. 5. Thoracic vertebra injured. Massive soft tissue injuries. The most important: He lives and he will keep his leg! He had SOOO good luck in the whole misfortune, because he has worn the Enduro boots and his back armor. In addition, after a short intermezzo in the Cantonal Hospital of Baden, the professor in the Unispital Zuerich, André has chosen as puzzle of the month and screwed him back together with the finest titanium. Since last week, he is now in rehab in Bellikon and every day it is a little better piece. He whizzes around in his fire-red wheelchair and trains hard to be fit again soon.

That was very un expected Zbillster, still working this out in my head but at least you are not badly hurt.
We have some recent chinese drivers drivers here that bribe the government agency assessors to get their driver's license, they are a serious danger on the road and their numbers are increasing. I have seen numerous instances where they drive on the wrong side of the road and one of them managed to drive at night on the wrong side of the road in the city for a kilometer, turned around and drove back on the same road on the wrong side without lights! This happened whilst one of our radio friends asked for police to be alerted and he relayed the incident as it happened over the ham radio repeater. They also turn up on rural roads and cause accidents so i became very careful and try to spot unusual behavior at a distance and expect drivers to make mistakes ( what if... ), interesting thing; you get better at it with practice. Your situation might sort itself out for the better over time and when all is settled and you feel better things may look up, in the mean time get well as best you can and keep us informed, we enjoy your company; all the very best from me.

so update on my CB ...
insurance adjuster looked at it. not totaled ... repairable. broken headlight, gauge cluster, turn signal, dent in tank. landed on muffler side, so scratches on that. he said i probably endo'd and got the worst of it. i'm having them transport it to my local Honda dealer for repairs. i guess i'll have a zeroed odometer when it's done. hope those brand-new michelin pilot road 3s are okay! ![]() i am going to the police station tomorrow with a friend to retrieve personal items. will try to get some photos of the bike wherever it is. i wonder if i can choose the tank color ...

Sorry to hear of your accident. Heal up quickly and keep your attitude positive!
Being self-emplyed myself I can identify with your insurance situation. Also, since we live close to Sturgis we see many advertisements for motorcycle accident injury lawyers: http://www.lawtigers.com. http://www.russbrown.com. etc. Worth a try. Haystack

Thankful that you're going to be okay, z'ster. That's the kind of event we all dread.
Rural postal vehicles are accidents waiting to be caused by them. Their mere presence on rural highways interrupts the normal ebb and flow of traffic and causes unexpected evasive maneuvers to occur in their vicinity. |
